Thermodynamics MOOC by the University of Michigan

ariane 6

Thermodynamics is a fundamental engineering principle on Earth and in aerospace engineering. It explains how energy transfers from one place to another, and how it could change to another form. In this 19 hours MOOC, you will learn the basic principles, applications and tools of thermodynamics, from solar panels to engines… and coffee mugs !

If you aim a career in aerospace engineering, this MOOC is very interesting because thermodynamics is a prerequisite for follow-on courses like propulsion, gas dynamics, heat transfer, internal combustion engines…

The professor of this thermodynamics MOOC is Margaret Wooldridge, Arthur F. Thurnau Professor in the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan. This course is free if you only want to read the content of the course and to watch the videos. You will have to pay a few dollars if you want to access all of the course, including rating homework, and to have an official certificate to print or to share (on LinkedIn for example).
