The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the Indian space agency, has just commissioned a new medium-sized launcher: the GSLV MK III (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III), also known as LVM3 (Launch Vehicle Mark 3). This rocket was chosen to carry the future Indian inhabited space capsule. New Delhi wants to make a first manned flight around 2020.
